I think I owe people who get involved in such cruelties the respect not to look at the videos documenting them.

But I don't think videogames or movie violence are to blame. People who are unable to be empathetic have always been around. If you have a tendency to look at this stuff and laugh, it's probably not due to playing too much Doom, more likely it's due to your dad giving you a big ol' beating over spilling a glass of water.

this thread needs more bike haters. They shouldn't share the road, of whose rules they readily and constantly ignore. It's simply too dangerous for them, i can't believe in an age of safety consciousness that we still put up with such a glaring disconnect. Just so that a few hippies can more comfortably digest their tofu dogs in bed tonight.

But yeah, here in brisbane, it's mostly the corporate logo lycra clad motherfuckers that get in my way and force me to do 20 (km/h) behind them (god forbid that there's a hill to climb, and brisbane has a lot of hills). Then once i've overtaken them safely without taking out any oncoming traffic, they catch me up at the next light and illegally pass 15 cars to the front of the queue. Only to cause their moving roadblock once more.

Cyclists do piss me off on occasions. The ones that really get me are when they are riding with another person and decide to ride next to them on the road which stops me easily drifting by. These guys do deserve a broken leg. Unfortunately I never have up to now and can't see myself doing it too soon. My window does open and abuse flies out though.

Pay some road tax or drive along the canal. Cunts.

Two things need to happen.

-Cyclists who don't follow road rules should be given the same treatment by cops as drivers who also break rules. With the exception of going under the speed limit and passing a line of stopped cars at lights, for obvious reasons.

-Cities/suburban roads need to be planned out better with actual bike lanes and wide streets. Sidewalks are for walking/running not cycling.

Around here the streets are narrow and shitty because of poor city planning. Some cities I've been to have really wide streets and bike lanes. That's how it should be done.

Having been a cyclist for about 12 years I think the majority of the blame goes to bad drivers. Usually the cyclists I see doing retarded shit are the ones using it for transportation not as a hobby or sport. The ones clad infake sponsor jerseys that think their 5 mile a day ride amounts to something shitting up traffic are more often than not, just as asshole-ish when driving too. I would also love to see some fixie hipster running a stop sign/light get smashed by a soccer mom in a H2 around here. No cyclists should be running lights expecting other cars to yield to them.

Other examples of how sophisticated and cultured rich people in Brazil can be include teenagers in Rio who set homeless people on fire in the middle of the night, and kids in São Paulo who beat up gay kids on the street. The guy who did this is 47 years old, so he's obviously setting a good example for his son.

Not really, a pushbike travels at a completely different speed, the logic is so glaring. The disconnect in society is so frustrating. Just see what happens when i walk on a dedicated bikeway.
