Just finished 'em last night. There is now a large, gaping hole in my night time entertainment slot. I'm half tempted to start it from the top, but no, I'll wait some months. Awepittance, thanks again for starting this thread. When I was watching the finale last night, I felt like I had about a million things to comment on, but after a nights sleep, I seem to have forgotten.

My only criticism of the show is how some events happen, big deal things imo, and then they are forgotten about forever once the episode ends.

There are other examples, like how some actors disappear for multiple episodes, only to re-appear like they were never gone (Janeane Garofalo) but I love the show far too much to break it down so critically.

yeah i know what you mean, in a sense that's probably still its biggest trapping as far as being a sitcom. but in a way it's refreshing to watch a show where you can jump in at literally anytime and follow the dynamic. I feel too often shows post year 2000 even comedy ones (weeds, californication, etc) are almost too indebted to a continuing story.

I like the way curb is set up where there is a general story arc that that "resets" every season, but at the same time, every episode has it's own distinct arc, so you can jump in whenever. I'm going to go ahead and place The Larry Sanders show above Curb, even though I'm a huge Curb fan, but I wish there was more continuity. I noticed on a few episodes, the timeline was ALL messed up.
