me too but i feel the opposite about these tracks. they feel a little more mature than his other releases to me and im liking them a lot more. this could also be because im being a lot less stubborn and i am also familiar with his sound by now.

i agree stolen dogs is the highlight but that double klave hit in the beat of street halo is funky as shit.

haven't heard, but i'm looking forward to this.

yea I think I'm digging street halo the most now. it's slightly more upbeat but still sounds like him. Jesus, wtf happened to me? I can't wait for burial to be released on Monday? whaaaaa?

Yea, these don't sound so exciting for me... mostly the same old stuff. I have Untrue, and it's great, but hard for me to listen all the way through because it's all so similar to me. I like his sound, but I guess I'm just not a huge Burial fan.

Never liked his sound in the first place so, you know, this is sort of a perfect progression from that.

Liking this.

His stuff was never really complex or cutting edge or anything, but it was really evocative and atmospheric, that sitting awake at 5am sort of sound, and thats exactly what he's captured here, with subtle progressions from his older stuff. There's a bit more complexity and variation here.

These are sounding great- the blend of synth, found sounds, texture and vocals in Stolen Dog is just awesome. WTF is that weird cat noise?

Pretty good

only 2 listens in but defintely hearing some new sounds for a burial record.

street halo has moments where it doesn't work but when its works it works very nicely.

i like the part at 1:40 at alot

and theres a hint of some interesting (more complex) drums but they never quite take off

the big distorted synth i dont really care for

i like how its long and changes throughout but doesn't get boring

NYC is definitely familiar burial. very nice.

stolen dog is very nice. perhaps my favourite....

NYC is a grower.

i think it was ripped a little loud. a few crackles too, but complaining about that on a burial release is kinda redundant

still, pretty good rip, and amazing music. i like they're a little bit longer than his usual tracks, gives the tracks room to breathe.

Not heard the rip, but I did get my copy today. I think it's a bad press. The A side in particular is pressed insanely loud and distorts like crazy. Lots of surface noise too. The B side is generally fine though. I think the engineer just tried to drive volumes too high and it killed the press.

shit, if it's a problem with the vinyl mastering/pressing, that's a damn shame.
