Guest Tamas
It's hard for me to judge because most of the time in my creative process I spend a lot of time just sitting in my studio and listening to tracks, drinking coffee, meeting with studio mates to play cards, etc. On average it works out to about 1 minute of music produced per day, so if I work for a month straight I can usually end up with a 25 or so minute EP... In terms of actual hours I'd say it's probably something like 1-3 hours composing, 1 hour of drum sequencing, and between 1-2 hours for mixing/mastering. For my last EP I recorded a separate live reverb track in my hall (x2 for stereo) so that added time, stuff like that can always extend it, but yeah, 1 minute of music produced per day is the best judge of time I spend on my tracks.
