what makes it any more 'difficult' than any other Autechre track, what do you even mean by calling it 'difficult' ?

i wasn't referring to your submission, i was referring to this thread. it is way too difficult for me to pick 1 track.

I've only recently realised the second half of Puls is amazing.

Something that used to be skipped without even thinking has become one of my fave techre experiences.

For me it sounds like being in a council house while on drugs and someone is playing the bongos.

Yeah well that whole track is fucking amazing really.

Also I wanted to send some love out to Nuane, and what the hell why not Netlon Sentinel too?

Netlon? just not the kind of track i'd see much of anyone ever saying 'wow, that's the best AE track EVER.' just not....expansive enough? it's brutal in its delivery, and a damned good track, but just doesn't strike me as an absolute favorite candidate, ya know?

netlon sentinel is definitely up amongst my favorite Ae. Perfectly respectable choice for favorite track.

After this I listened to geogaddi and I didn't like it, I was quite vomitting at some tracks, I realized they were too crazy for my ears, they took too much acid to play music I stupidly thought (cliché of psyché music) But I knew this album was a kind of big forest where I just wasn't able to go inside.

I was in US tjis summer, and eat in KFC. FUCK That's the worst thing i've ever eaten. The flesh simply doesn't cleave to the bones. Battery ferming. And then, foie gras is banned from NY state, because it's considered as ill-treat. IT'S NOT. KFC is tourist ill-treat. YOU POISONERS! Two hours after being to KFC, i stopped in a amsih little town barf all that KFC shit out. Nice work!

So i hope this woman is not like kfc chicken, otherwise she'll be pulled to pieces.

Fuck it, Nuane ftw. If only for that beat at the beginning. And I love the way the track decays into pure radiation.

Flavour of the week has been os veix3. so beautiful. There is the slightest little trace of a female voice softly chanting right at the back of the mix. It alternates between soft "aaaaaahhs" and "ooooooohs".

Only beef I have with this song is the slight overuse of that Oversteps "spraycan" sound.

haha i love the "spraycan" sound, but i see your point. There's a similar sound in Qplay but it's more like a metallic rip or tear....(they use a similar sound in d-sho qub, but its overwhelmed by everything else) i can't seem to describe it. Anyway I have a good home setup and an even better portable setup (cowon J3 + Pico amp/DAC + UE TripleFi 10) but i can't seem to hear any female vocals in Veix3? is there a particular time in the track where you here them? I'm curious. I mean i love the subtle vocals, almost inaudible vocals BoC use throughout The Campfire Headphase, just like with Burial's second LP "Untrue" where i get to make my own choice on what the vocals are saying. Thats no discredit to AE, but i would welcome them to utilize vocal samples a bit more perhaps. They're good at it...Second Scepe, Nine, Goz, ccec, Aut Riche and Lentic Catachresis etc, but anyway on topic....

I haven't read this whole thread, but i'm surprised no one is picking anything from sicklysweet.... Krib anyone? And personally i've never been too fond of Nuane, until the end. now that is raw energy sound. RDJ described SAW II as "like standing in a power station on acid" i think he was referring to Tassels, but thats what the end of Nuane feels like for me.

Slip. Why i first liked it the moment i heard it, and then thinking it was just earcandy to really getting the deep emotional side of the track. I thought i shouldn't like it after a while, but for me it's one of their best. I must of listened to it a 1000 times, but i still hear new things, is it me or does it get underrated on here? it's hard for me to pick a fav from Amber because Slip, Piezo and Nine all move me so much... Damn this tread sucks, like many people have said it's too hard and people change their tune everyday. Fuck i might dig up the top 10 thread and make it easy on everyone here :fail:

Slip is an awesome track. one of the few AE tracks that i never get sick of, no matter what mood i'm in or how many times i've listened to it or anything. i personally think it's held up well over time...a lot of Amber seems a bit dated, mostly in the types of synths/sounds being used, but Slip stands out to me as somehow avoiding that.

It goes throughout the whole track from start to finish. Existing as a kind of human counterpart to the background drone. Imagine choir style chanting, siphoned into one angelic voice, then spliced with the exact same tone in an electronic format.

Funny because it's right there, but somehow easy to miss. That vocal sound is the main reason I adore Os Veix3.
