The better team simply won. Boston stepped up when it mattered and they are the ones celebrating on the ice now. The Canucks might have had an excellent regular season and a decent run, but they simply lack what it takes to win it all. Yeah, I was surprised that the Canucks lacked jump in this game. Credit to the Bruins and especially Thomas, but I would have thought the President's Trophy winner wouldn't be so lame in a game 7 with a chance to win their first ever Stanley Cup. It shows that the regular season and the playoffs are different beasts.

Just came back from downtown - what a fucking disgrace. Though as Azatoth said - they probably would have rioted even if the Canucks had won.

YAY BOSTON!! So i've watched the entire series but lol didn't see this thread BECAUSE it was pinned. My eyes just skim over the first 5 or so threads.

Anyway. Yeah Canucks blew it esp. after the first couple games, but it seems like I'm the only one who is actually happy, but living an hour from Boston and being surrounded by Bruins fans will do that. Although about half of the people I work with are Canadian.
