personal fave analogue

Recommended Posts

If you were to keep just one analouge that you've liked to use more than any other what would it be?

It could be the studio workhorse, one with sentimental value or the one you kinda regret selling all those years ago.

No wish lists of anything you haven't at least owned for a few weeks please.

I think mine would be the Waldorf Pulse+, a ballache to use at times but it covered a lot of ground and worked well in a modern studio, might get another one day for the right price

Korg MS-10 is the only one I own, but it does everything beepy & boopy I need so I have no real need to buy another synth.

So that one.

Does the 606 really count? I know it has analog filters, but it is playing digital samples. I don't really count that...

I've just started getting into equipment (first time I could actually afford it) but I will never like another poly synth as much as I love my JX-3P. I've played with other poly analog synths including an OB-X (not really my thing to be honest!) and such before, and heard a lot of demos of junos, mono/poly, polysix, etc on the internet, and none of them sound as unique as the JX-3P to my ears. I have made completely insane patches on the JX before, and they sound way fucking good. It has such a wonky, organic sound if you really get into it.

also, dat pink noise lfo waveform

I sold mine to get a Zoom Sampletrax when they first came out!:fail:

It seemed like a good idea at the time but at least I sold it to one of my mates who still has it.
