+One: Bare Necessities

Recommended Posts

I didn't see that anyone had posted about this yet.

I actually love this LP (and their couple of one off's) (mudbomb, bik)

I know not technically a "plaid" record, but the did "Produce" it

which in electronica terms is different from "writing/composing" how?

I just thought the "+one" meant Plaid + One

anyway

anyone else dig this record?

discuss

I have Bare Necessities and I like it.

What exactly does this have to do with Plaid though?

and here pls : http://www.spiderbytes.com/ambientrance/+one-bn.htm

personally i think there's a lot of Plaid intervention in this...

we all have it already.

it was suppsoed to have be written by somebody called Sean Spencer and Produced by Plaid. so i always assumed Sean had written a bunch of basic tracks (the Bare Necessities), and then Plaid Produced it for him.. as in got the tracks down in Logic and recorded/mixed it at their studio. and probably added some bits to some of the tracks too. a bit like they do with their remixes - add some layers, rearrange a bit, add some quirky trademark sounds, extra melodies, etc.

it's a pretty good album. i love it still...almost 11 years on. would love for them to do another one sometime.
