Brian Eno and Rick Holland - Drums between the bells

I downloaded the non-album track. I don't care who's responsible for the vocal delivery, the 'emotional' 'wobble' in the voice sounds risible to me and is plain fucking embarrassing. I don't want to leap to any conclusions but if it's indicative of the new album then I'm just glad that there's a CD of instrumental versions (I pre-ordered the bundle, so I think I can have a bit of a moan).

I'm quite into all of this.

Looking at previous posts, you and I may be the only people on here buying this.

Well I'm happy there's some instrumentals as bonus tracks. I might just grab those instead. I am enjoying the music, but just those god damn vocals... They sound sloppy and lazy.

I pre-ordered the whole shebang from bleep as soon as I heard about it. Although I hated the non-LP track, the two that have just been put up have pretty much turned it around for me. 'Pour It Out' is beautiful, if I like nothing else on the album then I'll be glad I bought it. I can live with pretentious words (which I probably only think are pretentious because I'm an ignoramus anyway), it's the delivery I'm iffy about. Incidentally, what's the Bonus Track For Japan? For once I won't be shelling out on a copy of the Japenese CD(s).

You guys do realise if you buy the LP (first certain number of copies though) you get the instrumentals to download?

fuck that shit that soundcloud shit is using "ambient percussion loop" from the very first version of garageband

how do you know Brian Eno isn't just using a loop he was paid thousands of dollars to put into garageband? after all that seems to be a much bigger focus on his career than anything remotely artistic

Am I the only one it's obvious to that this album should have been called "Drums Between the Balls"?

Hahahahaha I was coming down here to post something very similar to this!

For all those on here who are waiting to buy this (basically me and Encym  ) I snapped some shots in Tower Records.

Picked up the Deluxe Edition earlier today. Will take a listen later.

It's called 'In The Future' but it's only available on the Regular CD Edition. That's a bit harsh for those shelling out for the two disc edition.

I'll get the regular edition at a later date.

I quite like this after a few reservations beforehand. Not listened to the instrumental versions yet either, but I imagine they'll work well in their own right. The CD book is just sex, and I'll cracking out the vinyl once my turntable's back with me.
