and also, OK Computer is another one of these albums.

i don´t really like "subterranean homesick alien" and "electroneering" .. the rest is GRAET.

rly? I lub those tracks, although i have to admit, electioneering is probably my least favorite - but it's the least like the rest of the album.

My friend who i went to college with is playing rythym guitar with the Funk Brothers. He's a super amazing blues guitarist, but all he ever dreamed of doing was playing rythym guitar in a funk band. Well now he plays in the funkiest band of then all.

that's quite Awesome. kudos to him for living the dream.

thats a very long list, mister. i am listening really a looooot of music, but its not as close to that much with NO one missing top notch track. but great you are satisfied that much =) looks great. the level is obviously easier kept in non-electronic music... but perhaps its only me seeing it that way. i'd say there's a lot of good ones on your list though! i wish i had a miles davis one without so many missings... i have to compile my own best of's always. :-S

I don't think I've heard a single perfect album.

i thought about that one for years.

but at the moment you mention it i remember another two

Yello - pocket universe

Jam & Spoon - tripomatic fairytales 2002

actually those were my first "perfect" albums.

before those... only "rendez-vous" from Jarre was close... but it has only 6 tracks... and one track was not thaaaaat much fullfilling me like the others.

ooh, these are fun :ok:

Eagles of Death Metal "Peace Love Death Metal" -I've mentioned this one a few times. Every song makes you wanna boogaloo.

Smashing Pumpkins "Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness" -There's 28 songs to choose from, and we needed at least 10 right?...the only missteps in my opinion are We Only Come Out at Night and Tales Of a Scorched Earth.

The Avalanches "Since I Left You" -It's as funny as it is funky.

Radiohead "Kid A" -I like this one more than OK Computer. I even like Treefingers...although many make it out to be a pointless droning song. The whole album is perfect.

Boards of Canada "MHTRTC" -already been discussed.

That about covers it. :alien:

fenn'o'berg - the return of fenn'o'berg

miles davis - on the corner

leafcutter john - microcontact

matmos - the rose has teeth in the mouth of a beast

squarepusher - big loada

yeah some of those dont have 10 tracks and one is an ep, but they're SOLID GOLD.

Ok first of all, I almost never skip tracks, even if I don't like them as much I usually listen to them anyway cos skipping can disrupt the flow of the album.

So rather than list my favourite albums, I'll just list the ones that I think are the most consistent:

Orbital - In Sides

Aphex Twin - Richard D. James album (his ONLY consistent work IMO)

Future Sound of London - Dead Cities

Modex - Robo-Tripper

The Boredoms - Super æ

maybe try and borrow the complete colombia studio recordings 1965-1968 from your library! six cd's of miles davis goodness. not all good, but a great collection. recomended!!

I'm speaking in terms of first-time-listen and whether or not it can withstand the test of time.

There are definitely albums I put above others, but if I skip through an album, I can't rate it as perfect, as it doesn't hold my attention the entire time. Bad Religion - Suffer is an album I would really like to rate as perfect, but there are a couple songs that just don't hold my attention. Same with Rancid 2000, RDJ Album, Hard Normal Daddy, Skinny Puppy - Too Dark Park [i like "Convulsion", but I just skip past it most times]. KMFDM - Money is perfect all the way through "Sex on the Flag," but just kind of fizzles after that.

I have a ton of cd's by artists that I love, but only like two or three tracks [ultravisitor, new KMFDM, Gwar, etc.].

I can't understand that it took so long for this to pop up. Probably the most consistent of all his releases, though Ventolin usually gets skipped over.

Music Has The Right To Children

And both Castanets albums, however short they may be, are just so well put together I have to include those.
