Some of them are the largest organisms on the planet. There can be 2200 acres of just one organism underground that's only 1 cell wall thick, sprouting parts of itself out of the ground all along its length. Tesla is badass, but he ain't got shit on mushrooms.

I'm glad to see a lot of IDM things making it through and fighting a good fight. I really want to see SPISH make a comeback! I'm feeling SPISH hard this year. I also have a lot of love for moss, it's playing a very calm and focused game.

I'm seeing a confederation of space and physics related contenders this time, I'm counting 13 players.

there have been so many tight races and it's still early.. when the tourney gets a little deeper I'm guessing a lot of decisions will be made by only a few votes. I still think soviet monuments is going to take it but I won't be shocked in the slightest if that falls. moss was pitted against nice asses in the first round, throwing me for a real loop. it's hard for me not to want nice asses all the time.

i could see moss pull away now as well as space stations. whatever the outcome, it's going to be tight. but I'm looking at you moss.

If Soviet Monuments takes it it'll be a triumph for short-sighted short-termism. It's been a meme for what, a week? And it's hardly an "IDM" thing - it's on every two-bit blog and tumblr this side of Fark. Pathetic choice IMHO. At least SPISH has some degree of WATMM history behind it.

The imagery of SPISH is more important than me doing my job so I thought it was worth it. A good image is important for an IDM thing, although on the other hand I think I now like Reverse Space Lightening Rods because I don't know what they are.
