soundcloud spam

i just got spammed by that bot. i just posted a track an hour two ago, so i have the feeling it trawls down the "just posted" page to pick its victims

ok, this is pretty obnoxious. the comment was reposted twice, from different accounts. so i can't even just block the user...

now a third time, from a third account.

maybe i should just leave it there !

i just sent soundcloud an email about it. i'm "premium" so maybe someone will actually read my email !

Yeah I get the same. Not bragging or anything but I think the quality of my tunes has improved but other folks with average tunes (not naming names) get tonnes of comments. :(

 

I'm gonna be doing a promotional push in the next few months to really get my name and music out there so hopefully that'll pay off.

 

Ps I was wondering why you had no comments 'cause you have some reasonable tunes up there.

you'd think that with a name like "thebro" or "coolshit28" you would get more attention.

I have a friend who lives down my patch who is incredibly talented. The guy can produce any type of music he puts his mind too and each time we chat on Skype he has like at least 5 new complete tunes to play me. I'm lucky if I finish one tune in a month lol. Anyways I thought he would have blown up a long time ago but he's still relatively unknown. I say that he has a certain following but its small considering how talented he is. The point is that you have to be pushy to some extent - that's just the way it goes these days.

I get pm's from Afton Live on different accounts asking me if I want to do shows. Anyone else get requests from them? From what I can tell they just rent venue spaces and spam artists to fill slots.

I think it's really funny that people spam on SC. Sure, it gets comments initially (useful ones such as "cool" and "nice,") but it has to be incredibly damaging to your image in the long run. Who wants their origin story to be "gained popularity by relentlessly spamming other users and groups on soundcloud"

damn had 303 spamfollowers, now back to 301

should've followed them back, hard trance/dubstep or not

Some dude just spammed me and 18000 others with the same generic comment!! Easily the quickest way to piss people off I reckon lol.

i've seen some spam, i checked the user's profile it was clearly a bot with a precise schedule. reported it, it now must be deleted.
