Well, it ain't Herbie or Stevie, but I'm glad this album exists. It's an homage done right, I think.

PIcked this up today whilst browsing my local record store, hadnt listened to any previews or even read any previews. I listened to the first 7 tracks and I really like it, much more than I thought I would after I realised it was essentially a jazzband album. You can definitely hear the flying lotus influence in terms of the production and the way the tracks are almost mastered for a club setting, but its still jazz.

This is an excellent album. I think that the song "Walkin" is really nice to hear because it is an retro synth-pop styled track that actually resembles the lyrics one would have found in them instead of the pseudo-intellectual garbage that the chillwave bands use as lyrics.
