haha you are correct but OG Neurosis fans wish they were still playing awful hardcore

 

I'd rather sit around with a glass of kool aid and discuss the wonders of Moog bass and the space-rock tradition ;)

neurosis' hardcore was not awful at all. they were and still are a great band.

 

I'll pay that; you're right. I'm just not much a fan of their work until Enemy of the Sun but they were undoubtedly good at what they did even then.

Darkthrone's pretty diverse sounding, I've always liked their "fuck it let's just play what we want" attitude on later albums.

 

Another BM tangent here...this Candlemass video has the late Dead from Mayhem (around 4:30). He's one of the, um, zombie-esque "doom dancer" extras. Plus it's just a great epic doom track.
