Being on edge is pretty IDM, especially if it's the cutting edge. If your work is anything like my current work, getting off work is the furthest thing from IDM, so that totally fits.

Now this is what I'm talking about. You've nailed the essence of non-IDM on the head, so long as the children aren't mirror image photoshop symmetrical, because that's undoubtedly IDM.
