Procrastinating

I'm doing it right now. Why is it so hard to just get shit done when I need to do it?

Is anyone else crippled by this problem?

I'm afflicted. I have to edit 45 min worth of vid footage for a show i have on monday (projecter fodder for stuff behind me. doesnt need to sync thank hey zues) and I haven't even started yet. I hate editing video. Fuck. FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUU

i'm the king of procrastinators, i've done less than all of you combined.

It's a lack of determination.

I have a lot of work to do by tomorrow. I've barely started.

Screw those mediocre "men of action" as the underground man calls them. Procrastination means you think too much which might mean you're smart. Or just a lazy sod.

i played videogames for 8 hours today

I keep avoiding posting in this thread because i want to wait and post something thoughtful. maybe one day I will.

I saw the title of this thread a while ago & thought "I'll read that later".

i have been working 12 hour shifts and talking to five different girls, arranging and scheduling times to meet with each and every one of them, planning out my money for the respective dates, all while keeping a steady $100 dollars a week in the savings account, bills paid on time.

the other day, i finished a website idea of mine for my photography, and started on another one for another site the next day.

i don't procrastinate much, but, i think it's because i love the things that i'm usually busy with.

I am a procrastination virtuoso. And I hate it. I know it feels good to get shit done in time, but I still don't do it.

I was watching a documentary about the life of noted British 60's fashion designer Ossie Clark. In it his lifelong friend, David Hockney was speaking about Ossie's need to be seen as an artist. Now it is known that Ossie Clark spent a lot of his time on the party circuit drugging and drinking. So on reflecting whether he was an artist on not David Hockney said that an artist is at home a lot, doing his art, that is what an artist is.

So maybe we're intelligent or talented, but without single minded drive, we're nothing. It's worth remembering that.

/gets back to watching bbC documentaries, and doing the washing up. watmming

it's alright if you're doing something good. bad if it's refreshing watmm.

motivation =  expectancy * value
            ---------------------
            impulsiveness * delay

which suggests that "to beat procrastination, we need to:
