i weigh 250, and i've lost 25 pounds basically by playing a little tennis here and there and a bit of dieting. oh yeah, and vyvanse

i definitely think it's an overreaction, but that's probably because i know i'm going to be pretty lenient if i need to. i'm not too strict about the diet, as long as i know i'm keeping it low and staying energized. i just have a long way to go to my goal and i want to go as hard as possible without any problems

yeah yek congrats. i'm supposed to be down to 200 by ... sometime next February

do you mean ill shit the bed or just fart a lot?

farts. lots of heavy stinky farts.

probably.

i took protein for awhile, years ago, and i had farts that would make a maggot gag.

I'm surprised I didn't notice this thread up until now. I'm addicted to bread, and I don't drink enough water... but 9 glasses a day or whatever it is seems completely overboard. Most days I get by without even one, and I seldom feel thirsty. I also hardly ever eat vegetables. But I get more than my share of delicious sauces.

i consume ridiculous amounts of water...a couple of liters a day, especially if ive been exercising.

my kidneys are probably half dead

new brunswick?

Yea, the ones next to Rutgers. I have family out here, and have always enjoyed Jersey food. The Pennsylvania Dutch store near Princeton is superb. And there's a pizza place in Sommerset that has the best Pizza in the world. And I just had some food at the Dosa Grill yesterday.

I wanted to lose weight, but now I want to eat everything.

nice. is the somerset pizza place brick oven?

I think so. It's called Piazza Orsillo, I think. It's in a plaza connected to a Starbucks and an Icecream shop, and some other stuff.

I have been thinking about employing fiznuthian's advice but I need a clincher. fiz, post some n00dz so I can see the consequences of eating well. Do a couple on your bike out in the wilderness...yeah, that's right

sorry man, my dietary ideas don't help much with length or girth.

lately i have been upping my carb intake, especially fruit and the odd gatorade on rides.

after heavy exercise when my muscles are tight and sore, i load up on the fatty buttery meat.

i pregame with a smoothie:

several apples

2 bananas

blueberries

strawberries

2 tbsp chia seeds

little runners/cyclers trick: down 300-700 mg of a good rhodiola rosea supplement and some cordyceps mushroom..

wait a half hour then begin.. makes keeping a breath easy during the most intense exercise.

i use the combo and ride super hard at anaerobic threshold for hours,

just make sure you provide lots of fuel for your body to work with.

pretty mindblowing shit actually, that rhodiola.. i don't ride anywhere close to that kind of intensity on typical rides.

strangely, just saw a supplement company packing both into one of their products for professional cyclists

and advertising it in Bicycling magazine.

but yeah as far as my "diet plan" is concerned, its really the same thing a lot of other people are doing.

i just feel the fatty acids, proteins, iron, l-carnosine, amino acids, etc that are provided by meat are more important than trying to

maintain a purist "vegetarian diet" that consists primarily of grain for food energy. the healthiest plants are often the ones people

eat the least anyway. a naive vegan could be set back by tortilla chips and bready, sugary vices and carry on as if its healthy to deny yourself meat.

on the other hand there are some crazy folks out there eating 100% fruit diets and somehow thriving thanks to careful planning. for how long though, who knows.
