Forgotten movies that deserve to be seen

Recommended Posts

The Tenant has such a weird, 'not sure if serious' tone compared to the other two (legitimate classics) in Polanski's apartment trilogy (Repulsion, Rosemary's Baby).

great choices Pattern, the scene in Heathers where they make her drink roto rooter is for some reason still one of the best death scenes in movie history

my first 2 choices (both directed by the owner of NEw Line cinema, the only two movies he ever took the helm for)

basically the original American pie with a dash of Michel Gondry/Late John Hughes surrealism, masturbation references come fast and furious as well as a bonus homoeroetic erection measuring scene. All the more entertaining because this movie takes place in the late 50s

one of the best kids movies to come out in the last 10 years, i rank this in the same 'awesome kids movie' bracket as Wall-E, Rango, Toystory 3. Oddly this movie is highly promotional of eastern religion, if it had gotten more popular Christian groups would have been outraged by it.

and finally Joe Dante's homage to b-movies of his childhood mixed with fears of nuclear fallout

My favourite Asian Animated Films:

Mind Game (Japan)

While this is probably my favourite film, and one that I'm glad to have suggested ANYWHERE, it's far from forgotten... it's pretty new, and most people into anime or independent cinema know about it.

something tells me this movie is very... subliminal. pass.

There are many valid reasons not to see Cool World, but I don't think "subliminal" is one of them.

might be my favorite western

I need to see this.

Watched this last Thursday since it's on netflix instant watch. I really liked it. Something about it seemed very modern. It didn't feel too 70s, like some other films from the era.
