Autechre Surround Sound

So in preparation for the new autechre / hafler trio collaboration, the release of which almost exactly coincides with me moving into a larger house... I want to finally purchase a surround sound speaker system, and upgrade my amp.

Anything I should avoid / watch out for? Views on wireless systems? Whats the deal with 7.1?

The views of WATMM are good views. They will be taken on board.

If those are anything like this, then they're way bottom heavy and there's a freakwincy disconnect between where the speakers drop off and the bass starts. To be honest the bass is also too muddy, not defined. At least in the 2.1 department there's better buys, I've heard them. </scathing>
