i did a youtube search and the first 3 or 4 i watched made me more confused than ever, wondering if it's all some joke that i'm not in on. justin bieber? ellen degeneres? wonton soup? dr. phil? charlie sheen, ffs? are those the "spam raps"?

It's like with art. They started off with good intentions, and progressively got better, took a few detours here and there. And now unfortunately we're standing at the abyss that art fell into.

Yeah I think he gets that a lot. He has thousands of songs released and some of them are (to me) vacant pop-culture-referencing ringtone rap anthems. some of his other tracks are moreso half-conscious channelings from a self-proclaimed spiritual/musical master haha. and that shit can even come off as endearingly naive, funny, and based as fuck at the same time. at least that's where i'm at with him.
