Hip Hop (Boom Bap) - The Thread

I've known of Open Mike Eagle for a while but never bothered to check out his stuff. Couple weekends ago I was revisiting some Paul White (The Strange Dreams of Paul White and Rapping With Paul White are really good) and realized I never listened to anything past Shaker Notes (which was way different and not hip-hop but also good). So what was next? A collab with Open Mike Eagle, Hella Personal Film Festival. And it was an immediate hit! Great raps/singing and great beats from Paul White. I've played it 3-4 times in the last week or so, and have moved on to Mike's following album, Brick Body Kids Still Daydream which is also good but doesn't have as many standouts yet.

I also love to this day how he flubbed the Classius Clay line but they kept it anyway, cuz hey it's Greg Nice and sounds good
