Hopefully we have great albums from plaid, clark, ital tek, rustie and more still to look forward to.

i think you either mean what is troon or who are troon? i feel like he gets too much heat but it does get a little tiring.

either way, it's pretty much a lock that boc will have a record out this fall. im just not so sure about aphex but i am sure he isn't done releasing under that moniker yet.

I've been pretty scattershot with music lately. I'm not even sure if I'm all that interested in WATMM niche electronic music these days so I'm definitely not keeping up with all the current stuff. But I just checked out those new 2562 and Instra:mental albums, and they are very nice.

Plaid was a nice surprise, to let us know to keep the faith. New BoC and Aphex might not be such a pipe dream after all.

There's been a lot of good releases this year... but I dunno if id say it's the best year... 2010 and '11 are definitely some highpoint years as far as the 2000's go though

and fuck... if we do get some new AFX and BoC this fall, I'll be fucking ecstatic, especially for BoC.. My little rural South Dakota town with a few lakes and a state park nearby is a damn near perfect setting for BoC listening, especially in the Fall.

I already can't remember anything that came out this year but I have a feeling it has been good

1994 is my favourite year for music, electronic and not. Almost every band who released an album that year seemed to release their classic/defining/best album. I once remember drawing up my top 50 albums list and about half of them were from 1994.

Yeah, it's a fantastic record. I really should get around to checking out his new stuff, I spent ages wanting new Woob and then it came out and I ignored it.

Actually, given that FSOL's ISDN was mentioned in the 1995 list, I should point out that that was a re-release of its initial 1994 run as well. And they would have released Environments in 1994 had they not decided to go with ISDN in the end. 1994. Great year.
