The Field - Looping State Of Mind

I bought this today because I was at the record store, and due to their limited selection, it was a toss up between this and Flight Muzik, and I remembered that I kind of liked the youtube samples of this. I downloaded it and am giving it a quick listen trying to decide if I want to take it back or open it and have it in the collection, andddddd I am probably taking it back. Not really impressed at all. Although upon listening to Flight Muzik, I don't think I'll be buying it either.

What a strange way to decide whether you like albums. How can you ever be sure? Some albums take 5+ listens before you can get into them. The Field is one of those that slowly gets under your skin.

It is a terrible way, but I can only afford to buy a couple LPs a month, so I don't really want to be stuck with something I don't like. I can't seem to find the receipt though, so I will probably be keeping it and learning to like it lol.

I loved this album very much, as it was quite good. So that is why I it was nice to hear this new remix by the Field today.

i only recently got this album (my first from The Field), and i love it. late to the show, but hey-ho.

 

i heard that remix the other day too - more just like a new song from The Field really. can't imagine the ATDI faithful will be too impressed, but it's quite good.
