fatboy slim introduced me to the whole electronic scene -98 when he released YCALWB!

I heard this one just by coincidence and knew right away what i was meant to be listening to!

My feelings regarding Norman Cook are best summed up in a review of Brimful of Asha I wrote way back.

I used to like fatboy slim stuff and I stilll do the older stuff in particular, but his sound became increasing shit in my opinion and was actually embarrased to own some of his cds. Praise you is diabolical piss (apologies to the fat boy enthusiasts out there).

I remember years and years ago I was at glastonbury and was torn between seeing fat boy slim or leftfield who were on at the same time. My girlfriend was fucked on acid and was puking and the tent with fat boy slim was nearer so it became the easy choice. he played some of the worst pop style dance shite and I still have deep regrets about missing out on leftfield.... even now I'm cursing my own name.

it's more that leftfield doesn't really have anything to do with fatboy slim. i've heard exactly one track by leftfield (Inspection) and it was pretty ok.

Although Leftism was a seminal album, when I saw Leftfield live, they weren't exactly spectacular.

I agree with people saying Fatboy was a whole lot better back in the days! What's up with that Palookaville-album? The same with his dj-sets nowadays! Terrible shit he's playin! It was a whooole lot better when you listen some of his older sets.. Like the bouncy/noisy-hour from new years eve in -97! Great stuff!

These last years he has lost it totally! He can't even mix in tempo anymore!
