the stuff he says about kids not being able to celebrate christmas or pray in school isn't true. the end of school prayer meant that schools can no longer lead students in prayer. of course, according to christian fundies not forcing students to pray to jesus is the reason for all the crime, sex, and drugs in the country. how could they possibly keep kids from praying silently anyway? and what school doesn't put up christmas decorations?

There are cases every year of silly irrational political correctness in schools and public places regarding Christmas and the Holidays in general. That's America for you. You could probably find some idiotic school district that doesn't allow "Christmas decorations" on paper or has Kwanzaa posters made mandatory. Big deal. But some annoying demands from a few douches insisting on saying "Happy Holidays" is not fucking religious discrimination. Also, you can pray in school and on public ground outside, my high school in a more liberal part of DFW allows and will always allow the annual "pray at the pole" event every year. They have a "moment of silence" every day in schools at lunch (which I don't mind) just not a outright prayer said out loud. In fact, it was harder for the LGBT club to get established than any prayer group at my high school in Fort Worth. Most rural schools in Texas still have public prayers before football games with no consequence. If you spoke up against it you'd get threats and your kid would get bullied. We still say the pledge with the McCarty-era "Under God" phrase. "In God We Trust" is on our fucking currency. There isn't a fucking war on Christmas...and if there was, the question is, why wouldn't Perry let gay soldiers participate?

it's ok i think most people do because he acts as a bird cage liner, kind of like a mini version of the actual president. Prop up people to americans who will fall on their own sword and become a self parody to distract us from all the horrible shit going on 24/7

That is so fucked up. There are so many videos that include straight making out, and girls kissing ala girls gone wild on youtube, and there is blatant hate speech like Rick Perry's allowed, and a parody video with a gay kiss is taken down?

He's probably done more damage to his cause than good with that lameass video. Sure the insecure religious fundies with a persecution complex will lap it up, but aside from that, it's not that he just openly shat on 10% of the population, it's also just really, really lame.
