I'm one of those who loved Cosmogramma on first listen - perhaps even better than LA - maybe because it really seems like the next step for him in terms of his album progressions? I've been a fan since i heard 1983 and thought LA was the shit when it came out.

It's weird because it's moving away from the hip hop sound that he had in his earlier albums and delving deeper into jazz sound.

LA was lush and deep - Cosmogramma is more.... energy.
