Homemade Ae T-shirt

Recommended Posts

Anyone else ever made anything cool?

I made these two from stencils, though I wish I had access to a screen printer.

First time I wore the Autechre one, someone say it said "if Au is gold, what are the other elements on your shirt?"

The original vector SVGs are on my website if anyone wants them to make something with them

They look fucking awesome. How'd ya make them ie. what did you use for the print? If ya make us a gescom one i'll send you fundz

Just black spray paint on those stencils attached, the gescom one can be done in one go, but for the Ae one, I two layers to cover up the bridges on some of the letters, eg in "A" "e and "R"

As I mentioned said, a better method would be getting them screen printed, I made these a while ago and they've started to fade after a couple of washes.

I made an ae shirt with an iron-on design (which has faded pretty epically not) but i was wondering how regular spray paint + stencil might go on a t-shirt? does the paint run in the wash? I always wanted a screen print sorta thing but never been sure how to go about doing all that.

Spray paint will wash out eventually, so I prefer to use acrylic paint. You just have to secure your stencil to the shirt temporarily, carefully paint on a light layer of your desired color over the stencil, wait for it to dry (or use a blow-dryer), place newspaper over the dried paint, iron it through the paper, and finally wash it & wear it. I have used that method many times in the past, and it's basically just ghetto screen printing, so I have never had a shirt run in the wash or fade away.

You obviously didn't pass the Daz doorstep challenge. Good effort though. Buy an iron too.
