What are you doing for the rest of the year and in 2012?

We have some solid touring with this album; we’re going to try and keep it quite concise this time around, as long tours are not great for writing. We’re doing a very condensed tour for 2 months in October and November into early December. We’ll have a short break and then 2012 will be the next thing, maybe Gamelan and Felix, new material ourselves and possibly some film soundtracks. We’ll be announcing the name of our new album in 2012 and we’ll be extending our shed.

I don't know what to think, but it is definitely written there...

Excellent interview - especially enjoyed reading their analysis of society/capitalism

i agree. t'was an interesting read. probably the best interview with them that i've read in a while. definitely the best out the Scintilli interviews so far, i'd say

and to hear that there's the possibility of an album release with Felix's Machines in the pipeline, along with another performance(s)... (aswell as the SBGP thing) is quite exciting! - 2012 should be a(nother) good year!!

So presumably that means it'll be out around 2015.

..yeah. if they weren't just taking the piss there... lol

if you read the interview they also talk about having the idea to put the new album out under a different name.. and keep telling everyone that Scintilli wasn't finished yet.

maybe that's what the ever elusive mysterious BoC have already done... that would be funny! :emotawesomepm9:

Couldn't resist attempting to appear witty. But the interview and comments like that shows that Plaid still have a greater sense of humour than a lot of people probably give them credit for.

It was reassuring as a geriatric to read their comment about 'our generation' (i.e. mine) appreciating vinyl and their suspicions about the introduction of CD. I can remember people in the 80s saying that CDs would still play perfectly if you smeared the playing surface with jam or drilled a hole through it.
