I don´t program or use midi. I don´t use plug-ins. I don´t use these music-killing software creations for home djs and tekno-stars.

did he really say this? I'm kind of floored because clearly he did program and use midi heavily at one point when he was working with Native Instruments way back int he day with Lazy Fish and F.X. Randomize. If this is the way he feels now fine, but his dismissive attitude seems like kind of a turnoff, and not very truthful to put it mildly

I'm sure kanye didn't use midi for the creation of his latest album (which mr. delay praised so highly)

Autechre Rule - Queen are Shite

he must be taking the piss, sometimes i get this impression while listening to his music where it's almost like a personal joke to him kind of 'let's see if i can get away with an entire minute this time between my bass and snare drum transition'

Half of the album sounds like extended Autechre outros, the other half is meh, and then there's Lauma. Delay and Noton combination will give most of the people feeling that there's something more to this album, but there isn't. Passable, like most of this year's R-N stuff.

Upon listening to the samples of all the other pieces on this album, I can safely say it will still be quite enjoyable despite the black sheep of Lauma, although at over 8 minutes I am still going to reserve judgement until I hear all of it. For all I know it might somehow work in the context of the album.

Anyway, probably buying this.

Got this and it's solid V.Delay stuff. The track Lauma is sort of out of place but kinda isn't, but the rest of the album is top notch. Vintage Delay with bubbly organic soundscapes like found on Whistleblowe and Four Quarters but somehow slightly softer and warmer. Like with other of Delay's work, I find myself listening to it over and over without really knowing what I am exactly listening for, if that makes sense.

Also, the CD seems to have some odd TOC mispress where the track lengths are slightly off, with Henki being just under 1 minute with the rest tacked on Lipite. Sent an email asking about what's that about.

It's really not a big deal to be honest. Musics all there and it it doesn't have gaps so the flow is not disturbed. Also noticed that compared to the FLACS (from the site I presume) the CD is about 1:21 shorter, but I guess it has to do with the tracks intros and outros being slightly longer for those that buy single tracks.

I'm loving the shit out of Vantaa, Lauma and Levite.

You should throw some new Monolith in the middle as well. Who knows if you won't start loving it :cisfor:

Are you seriously trolling me with some generic braindance music? This thread is about elitist electronic music!

One of the most original artists out there.

Agreed. It's amazing how distinctive his style is. I'm enjoying this album. Cool design on the packaging as well.

I also have this problem. What was the label's reply to this?

It seemed they were not aware of the problem and were looking in to it. They then gave me wav's of of track 2 and 3.
