I had an idea which would maybe work for one of those animated christmas e-cards.

An attractive metropolitan young woman is looking forlornly into an undisturbed nursery room. Her partner comes into view and as he places his hands around her and tenderly onto her belly, a faltering smile appears on her lips and her eyes well with tears. "We can try again," he says. The camera fades.

A classic wintry high street scene. The same young couple are now laughing and walking though snow past shop windows with their seasonal displays. He takes her by one hand and with the other covers her eyes. The excitement and anticipation is palpable. They come to an extravagantly dressed window and stop. He slowly takes away his hand and the young woman's smile turns to panicked incomprehension. Cut back to the shop window to reveal a giant snow shaker which contains a formaldehyde preserved foetus wearing a santa hat. Back to the young couple. The man has a catatonic grin and thousand yard stare.

I pitched this to M&S for their christmas campaign but they weren't keen.

What's really interesting is that I used to draw a lot of ms-paints here when I couldn't paint and was frustrated about it. It was a good outlet. These days I actually paint and draw AND make ms-paints. Could it be I'm having the time of my life?
