That was me. Yeah it was ok, I was lagging out in the last game though, might have been my own fault.

 

Btw I have a private server I use to exercise flying. It should only have maps in rotation with planes/choppers.

First patch details:

Alan Kerts, Battlefield 3′s Gameplay Designer, reveals that “pistols will be getting a bit of love in the near future.” A slight improvement in the damage department for pistols is certainly welcome. I’ll be playing to monitor balance.” The UMP is unlocked at level 16 and can be used on all kits.

Some fans have been outspoken about the effectivity of the jets asking for improvement. One fan expressed his concerns to Fredrik Thylander demanding “they [jets] need a buff.” Thylander, Senior Designer at DICE, confirmed “they [jets] are getting it [the buff].”

 

Issues

DICE is looking into the following issues, besides the usual server problems:

  • PS3 users communication problems.
  • BF3.exe has stopped responding on PC.
  • Teaming up with friends and getting into the same side.
  • PS3 input lag.

Played some conquest with some clanmates today.

One guy was in the opposite team, he was capturing a point with one more guy.

Spawned at the point before it was neutralized.

BF3 puts me BEHIND my mate and in front of the other guy.

I take down the other guy first and then my mate.

Couple of minutes later i do the same thing again.

Get spawned within KNIFING RANGE next to my mate.

 

Conclusion:

 

WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK?

 

 

Anyhow, beside these small (still big) fuckups, its a gorgeous game. Much love to the RPK-74, mag with 46 bullets, spray down 3 enemies and still got ammo to continue rampaging.

haven't played multi-player fps for a looooooong time, i suck harder than zelahs mum right now

Your choosing to spawn in the heat where you know it's there bogies. You think it should spawn you at a really safe distance from the point being captured? I disagree. I think once the other team gets to the point at starts capping it they should earn the advantage. I rarely ever spawn at a point while it's being capped not expecting that I'm going to spawn right next to the enemy, in my mind it seems actually like decent gameplay balance and I anticipate a crazy fast CQB twitch rock paper scissor match with the enemies I'm choosing to spawn right next to. So yeah, when your choosing to spawn next enemies, they could make it easier for you, I see what your saying but I don't necessarily think there is anything bizarre about getting a really unsafe spawn when you choose to spawn in an obviously unsafe area.

yes exactly, i think it should spawn me 50-100m away from the point that is being captured, just like in BC2.

yeah so the first second the enemy enters the point and begins capturing the availability of spawning should be turned off right away. You can spawn at the point while they are taking it for a reason, think about it, in BC2 it works, works really fucking good.

my conclusion to this point, is if you have the chance to spawn, then why should it fuck things up, ofc its dangerous whatever, but in my experience its just pathetic

So if a game does NOT check where the enemy is before it gives you a spawnpoint, and just spawns you infront/behind the enemy, its not anything bizarre about it? Well fuck, if this is a brilliant idea then you should make a career in game design and change the future of all GAMES!

I'm pretty sure they just have default spawn locations. Why would it check to see if there are enemies around? In BC2 if you knew where to camp you could easily pick people off as they spawned, because they all start in a general area. A "spawn area" if you will. Maybe they should move the spawn areas off the point a little? IDK, I haven't ran into the issue like you have. Is it only on a certain map?

exaze is the only person I've heard of that is so masochistically putting himself in spawns where his inferior CQB skills are going to fail again haha.

 

Seriously the last thing I'm going to say is that you have squad spawns, squad beacon spawns, and point spawns. If every time you were close to neutralizing the point, enemies were able to get perfect spawns that surrounded you like a bear hug from Jesus it be way more frustrating than what exaze is taking about.

Good point man, I got straight into the game without waiting for a reply, they fixed the issue for me without even contacting me and activated my battlelog all from their end, very cooperative. It is a great pistol though. Send across a request dude, if I get online before you've sent one I'll drop you one, cheers!

 

The game is awesome, no server trouble my end so far.

I haven't actually got that to work Ego. I installed it yesterday after the creator posted it on r/battlefield3. I click the box, but it never says it will auto-join :shrug:

Strange, works for me in Firefox with Greasemonkey.

According to the developer it is, but userscripts aren't always compatible.

 

Ugh how I hate Metro conquest. Expecially 64vs64. What a piece of shit map. Just mind numbing M320/rockets spamming.

 

On a happier note I just unlocked the F2000. Made in Belgium baby!

Tip: Try to turn down the aim sensitivity (if you're playing in console). Has helped me alot. It's ridiculously high as default.

My god I love the weapom upgrade/leveling system in this game. It make it so much more addicting. I think there's like 20 scopes/optics to unlock from for a single assault rifle. It's going to take a long time to unlock it all, which is great.
