Not having bad dreams

Recommended Posts

I get sleep paralysis a lot when I sleep on my back, especially if I'm really exhausted. I know what's happening now and can wrestle myself out of that state, but back in 1992 when I was 11 and obsessed with UFOs it was pretty easy to spontaneously fabricate a whole alien abduction (waking) dream sequence, and it was horrible. Apparently it's not abnormal to get the sensation of floating upward in that state, and boy, did I ever float.

But night terrors: man. I had an uncle who was going through a divorce and some personal trauma (he also had sleep apnea) staying over our house when I was a little kid, and apparently he was prone to night terrors. I have never heard such loud screaming in my life: it was like he was actually experiencing being hacked up with an ax or something. Also, with the sleep apnea, he would snore loudly, the way god's farts must be loud, and then wake up choking. I didn't sleep for a week.

I have the same feeling about my dreams Rhommy, lately I keep dreaming that I'm pregnant but I don't know it until my family break the news to me, it's horrifying.

I haven't got on with my dreams lately, but then I treat dreams as if they were for the purpose of entertainment whilst I rest, the best dreams start after I die, then I can do or be what ever I want. Saying that I did fly about the universe in a super cool ship the other night, but it was a bit boring.

had a dream last night that I was at a meeting, then someone carried in three goats that were crying like human babies. one of them was nuzzled up against me. I was afraid that it might try and attack me if I made any subtle movements. that's when I kicked the wall and woke up

not having bad dreams. last night:

i was working my way up this cliff wall for ages, i was in a shaded dihedral, carrying something up (a ghost?). then suddenly the angle of the cliff eased back and there was a perfect crack in the rock that i stuffed my fist in, like this,

i moved up on my jammed fist, the steepness dissappeared and i went over a bulge, off of the godawful gray rock. and lo, there was mah mate, coming up on the other side of the wall simultaneously!

(even tho he didn't look like anyone i know)

so i did the right thing and i gave him a perfect KNUCKLEFUCK with my other fist! like a boss!

initially i woke up feeling confused & Freudian about all that jamming of fists into cracks and the finale of male bonding, but i then realized that it was pure warrior poetry that had been synthesized in my dormant mind.

the end.

the things we dream are akin to our physical lives. we are actually going somewhere when we dream, an actually place that we visit every night, whether we remember or not
