I think the concept of Hugh Laurie and Jamie Bamber being in the same room was enough for her. Although 3 minutes in she said she wished it was Helo instead.

William Adama is the badguy in Dexter now.. that's a bit weird.

guys I just skated back in to say that at first I thought BSG was fairly lame... bad acting, stupid story-line, but I was dead wrong. I will go back later and re-watch the start because the writing is really really good now. episodes 8 and 9 are actually remarkable television. this is a different sort of show. I love every aspect from the interesting general plot to the off-beat dialogue to how the intro includes snippets from future scenes in the rest of the show to the soft vocal intro and intense drum-beat ends.

so far is kicking me in the gut and i like it. lump i think you should watch it again.

i just love how strong the characterization is. everyone is really well-defined and a lot of tv shows lack that aspect these days--they're too driven by plot and one liners. mad men is another exception to this, imo. but shows like house md and a lot of other 1 hr dramas (basically everything on the usa network) are just shit at it. the characters just act the way they do to move the plot forward and provide interesting situations, not because that character would actually do those things.

speaking of Mad Men, I've just started watching this, and I quite like it.
