I'm not too sure about it either ... it sounds very sterile. Project V had a good warmth to it that the Mental Union releases certainly do not have. I feel like Project V had a bit of a 'live' feeling to some of the tracks, where you could hear him definitely in the mix having a bit of fun. With Mental Union it all sounds significantly more deliberate with less room for experimentation within the tunes ...

this statement leads me to believe you have no idea what youre talking about

Teardrops, Miss August and Snuskpadda has kind of a Project V vibe to them.

After the third listen, I think I like it a bit more. A bit less melodic than Project V, but there's some really sweet drums on this one. Especially on the first track. Ska Train still feels completely out of place though.

A mix of the amazing drums and this one and the 'lushness' of Project V would be amazing.

ska train was funny but yeah doesn't belong. The first disc is a little scattered i'll give it that. second disc is great. i'll say again. k bos - k lax.

Scored the 24 bit digital vinyls from rephlex.com during their short lived experiment with a web store. RIP rephlex.com

Really like Mental Union, wish it had been put on wax.

Also wish I would have bought the Analord digital vinyls. Those are gone to the sands of time now.
