fascinating figure. one of the most popular recording artists of the 20th century. arguably brilliant. everyone around the world has love and nostalgia for michael jackson songs and videos and yet the man was a pedophile. its really fascinating seeing how people reconcile this (almost certain, come on) fact. theyre either in compete denial or choose to ignore it completely.. or give the old "judge the art, not the artist" line... really just a fascinating figure on a number of levels. his influence on culture in general is unprecedented, and yet he was an ultimately delusional man-child that never came to terms with his true nature..

its like he was howard hughes, mixed with james brown, mixed with diana ross, mixed with little richard, mixed with gary glitter.

lol, i agree he was really interesting, as for influential, a bit hard to say...i wouldn't be surprised if his biggest influence was not on other artists, but on freedom-hungry people in repressive countries, he always seemed to go over well with eastern europeans, southeast asians, etc.

As for his being a pedo, not sure. Did he want to be a kid again, and spend all his time around kids? Clearly. Was he actually capable of say, buttfucking McCaulay Culkin? I'm not convinced. He doesn't seem to bear much similarity to Gary Glitter to me. Glitter was/is a fully-realized, unrepentant pedo. Even if he had impulses in that direction, I'm not sure Jackson ever took the leap. All of his occusers always seemed shady...

mj wasnt a paedo. he was a childlike grownman who related to children. i'm ashamed of how he was treated. no wonder he was self medicated like crazy.

ive read a number of books on him and have seen a number of documentaries. its a safe assumption to say that he was a pedophile.

edit: i think when youre emotionally stuck in prepubescent state for your whole life your sexuality is frozen in that point as well... im not saying he was an evil fuck, just a very confused, sad, and ultimately selfish man.

yeah the gary glitter thing was a bit off.

i tend to agree, but remember, he was chopping his face up long before any accusations of child molesting...dude always had serious issues.

just various accounts of staff that worked for him combined with what is already public knowledge.. i cant think of anything specific at the moment because its been a while since ive read/seen the stuff. very little of what ive read has just straight up declared him a pedophile... i suppose i could be wrong, and i hope i am, although i dont think so. this book especially has a bunch of stuff in it. it was long as fuck, and the author does a good job of remaining impartial..

i can proove mj was not a pedo just listen to his song BILLIE JEAN which is about a lady who says her son is mjs son. in it mj says shes not his lover and "the kid is not my son" now if mj was a pedo he would WANT the kid to be his son (even if its not) so he could get close as a father and do pedo stuff to it. but cuz he says cuz its not his son he cant be a pedo QED mofos
