I'm feeling saucy today so I'll take the bait as well. Postmodernism made everything art, so in effect rendered any specifics to define art useless. Most of what I've seen in the past decade or so called "cutting edge" was done better by someone 30-50 years ago, so any notion of someone having an old fashioned or conservative taste in art is absurd and frankly wrong.

That said, the only useful criteria I've come up with for viewing something labelled as art are as follows:

-is it pleasing to look at

-does it affect the viewer's emotions in some way
