so I tried the hot dr pepper thing. it's not that great. the heat makes it seem too sweet somehow.

it is too sweet. im not a science man but i reckon heating it might make some of the water leave the dr pepper reducing it to a more sweeter drink.

This is the recipe my GF used: http://www.thefreshl...cipes/pitabread

Worked out really nicely, although she used chapati flour because that's what she had lying around. Made for a delicious bread.

thx plees for remembering

half a bar of green & black's 85% cocoa chocolate in your chilli con carne. do it.

I just made a bad ass dish named Ghormeh sabzi.

The family that I obtained the recipe from are Assyrian and I think there are many ways to make this dish.

Here is the recipe I got from them:

For one batch to feed two people well and three well enough:

chop

one whole onion

one half bunch of flat leaf parsley

one bunch of cilantro

one small bunch of green onion

one small bunch of spinach

saute, with olive oil of your choice,

whole onion til slightly caramelized,

add 10 to 12 oz of diced sirloin (optional),

saute chopped parsley, cilantro, and green onion

crush and break apart two to three dried limes,

depending on how sour you want the dish to be,

add into the pan sauteing

stir til the parsley/cilantro/green onion are cooked down to a dark green

add spinach and cook down til it is darker green

add chopped pepper of your choice if you want some spice,

I use cayenne and black pepper,

half of a Serrano is really good too.

add one can of black eyed peas (washed)

saute for a bit and then

add plain tomato sauce

and stir til all is mixed together

add salt to your liking,

four teaspoons seems to be enough for me

when served with steamed rice.

The flavor of the dried lime, tomato, red/black pepper and with the cilantro is intense and amazing.

BRAP!
