going too fast, assuming path is clear. suddenly obstacle dead ahead. panic grab front brake. pivot over handlebars into obstacle. been there, done that.

if a van breaks down you have to get repairs and pay for it. if YOU break down they have free health care over there.

true, but repair is plentiful and can be done on the cheap, and still doesn't touch the luxury nor the value of sleeping in the back with the heater on.
