Oh man I know! I was really hoping they were going to go this route. I liked the message of it but I couldn't help but be disappointed after they lined it things up just right for a wild ride. I really hope someone steals this idea to make the most demented horror movie of all time.

This is exactly my list but with Playtest bumped down to #6. Total misfire, though the premise was solid (barring the last twist).

I actually enjoyed all those twists at the end. I was thinking whether to put Playtest or Nosedive at number 3 and Playtest seemed darker and more of a mind fuck but I really like them both.

 

Men Against Fire was so uninteresting though, I hated it.

Men Against Fire was prolly the best portrayal of ideological possession I've ever seen

Sure the concept was good I'll give it that, but it took too long to get to the point and the ending was disappointing

haven't seen the last two yet but San Junipero was amazing

I actually didn't like San Junipero that much. It was nice to have a happy episode and I liked the main characters but the town felt glossed over and shallow, like a resort town.

Being alive is a miracle and great etc but I'm really comforted by the hope that it all ends one day. If I died and somehow accidentally turned up in a never ending 80s disco that would truly be hell.

There was something about being able to switch it off whenever you want though. Quite how that would work when you're an ai who knows. That episode was the best telly ive seen in ages :) well done charlie brookaaah

Yeah, they mentioned something about being able to self-terminate your own program if you got bored of it, IIRC.

Just finished the new season. Enjoyed it much more than season 2. Extremely high quality of entertainment throughout. Hated in the nation felt like a good old monster of the week x files episode.

Yeah I guess... if you're the kind of person that equates refugees, displaced people, different ethnicities, non christians etc. with ISIS then yes it could.

"Nosedive" was my fave  - id recommended everyone to watch it last  

- creepy +  pastels works soo well together!

And "San Junipero" got the 80s vibe soooo right!

Nosedive was my least favourite by a country mile.

Maybe I need to re-watch it to properly appreciate it.

Just watched all 3 seasons. I like how the tech in most episodes, isn't really creating something new, so much as filling a niche in society and amplifying it. Like how in 'Nosedive', there's already an implicit 'rating system' in our society, except now there's a number to it.

I had an idea for an episode of Black Mirror last week after reading the tech section Connect in the metro about Blowcast, the virtual felatio service. You put on vr goggles, go on their site and choose a camgirl who sucks down on a dildo that has sensors on it. The user slides his wand into a silicone sleeve and is stimulated by the data from the dildo being replicated in the sleeve taking the user to heaven. But apparently hackers have exploited Blowcast and started going in and changing the data received by the sleeve resulting in a few helmets crushed into mincemeat. A moment of intense pleasure reduced to the most excruciating pain imaginable in an instant. The episode would be called 'Glans of Sorrow'.
