Toms take on dubstep?

Anyone save the videos from the previous pages? I was late to the party. Last two vids are making me hungry.

Any idea what's the drum kit he's using? Sort of sounds like an RZ1, TR-626 and the like.

Interesting, a tad twee for my tastes but it has promise. Got a bit of a digital dub vibe.

I feel the same as you. That video has given me hope - it's still very melodic and a little proggy or overblown, but the sounds are far more meaty. I love it. My struggle with the last few Squarepusher releases was never the fact they are more overtly melody driven or poppy, but simply the awful mixing, the lack of any mindmelting elements (bar 1 or 2 tracks) and the strangely weak sound/production choices.

Videos vanished again, what a gyps. Can they really make copywrite claims on recordings of artists playing live. Surely it's all good promotion anyway!?

You may want to look a bit further into copyright law if you think it only extends as far as finalised published material...
