Autechre Necro Deathmort

I recently discovered this London-based two piece band, Necro Deathmort, consisting of Aj Cookson and Matthew Rozeik. Their music is a product of all of their influences ranging from Sunn O))) to Autechre. They do all of their music on computer, no amps, no real drumkits. The result is fucking brilliant.

I think it was Steven Wilson who commented them on his Facebook saying that this is what it would sound like if Trent Reznor had produced or collaborated with Sunn O))) or Boris.

So far they've released 'This Beat is Necrotronic' in 2009 and 'Music of Bleak Origin' in 2011.

This is fucking ace. I've been slowly getting into more electronic-tinged metal, drone, and industrial music and this fits that mold well. I'm impressed it's all digital as well, I'd think they'd be tempted to bust out the guitars and amps for the drones.

Seeing as their biggest influence on the guitar tone is Sunn O))), who heavily relies on Sunn amps (and LOTS of them) for their guitar tone, I'm surprised as well. But they really did achieve that incredible low-end tone.

Oooh this sounds really intriguing, I'm a fairly big Sunn O))) fan. I'm tempted to play this right now but my gf is sleeping next to me and probably wouldn't like the wale-up. I'll have to check back on this thread.

Checking back... Good shit indeed, will have to check more of these guys. I like how the name basically just means Dead DeathDead. Love the slow build on the second track, drone influences aparent.

Wow, Temple of Juno is great. That first track sounded kind of cheesey to me. I like drone and doom metal but some of it isn't very good. I am curious to see where this goes. But, yeah, that first track isn't metal or glitchy enough for me, i just felt like it was lacking something. I'm going to keep an eye on them, thanks! Also "Music of Bleak Origin" is a badass album title.

Devasting Vector off the album "Music of Bleak Origin" is amazing. Great electronics and synthy bits mixed with doomy drums and guitar stabs. Cant find it on youtube or anywhere, but definitely recommend buying the album and listening to it LOUD
