I just wanted to say 10,000 Spoons, really

you've made your thoughts on that album very articulate and clear in other threads and I respect your opinion. i even agree with it on a lot of levels. I do find most of the album to be very good and some songs I really love. the album on a whole is not on the level of aenema or lateralus, but that is an impossible task. I do expect the next one to be better than 10k days though.

anyway I have less than two weeks until I wet myself at the show

It's all just, like, my opinion, man, anyway. I can't say it's objectively bad, but it rubs me the wrong way on a number of levels. Tool are good enough live to be worthy of tickets, no matter what. Well, assuming the don't start charging Rolling Stones Farewell Tour levels.

Not the Mandala drums, you can see them in the Ticks & Leeches video at around 6:30. Don't look like regular tom toms.

they're just triggers afaik. electronic drums.

also with maynards mom's passing it's not strange that the album was affected. i still love it.

I may have an extra ticket for next week, come to nj essiness. it will be my treat.

what happen

not the best tool show i have seen but pretty damn good. a lot of new visuals. sober and lateralus with an extra drummer was amazing. they subbed out ticks and leeches for sober which made me want to cry.
