Boomkat are so very fucking far up their own arseholes it makes me not want to spend another penny with them. As you say the artist charts are worth a peak. The boomkat chart? Isn't worth a wank.

I'm happy to see the Julianna Barwick album at #13. For those who haven't heard it, 'The Magic Place' is stunning (if you're into this sort of sound)!

this year has brought his works a lot of attention, i remember people on watmm talking about how awesome he was a couple of years ago but it wasn't until 2010 that i started actually seeing his Cds and records on store shelves

Why are you confused that people listen to different music than you? Just because you haven't heard of something doesn't mean no one else has. Most of the artists' charts make total sense given the nature of the music they make. They're not just pulling names out of thin air you know - they're listing people that are making some of the most interesting work in their field.

Looking at the official Boomkat list and I've heard 50-60 of them. Maybe you should check some of it out and expand your horizons.

But they're not making 90s sounding idm so they're definitely hipster music.

i dont have a problem when other people have different tastes than me. but it is very disappointing to see everybody talking about the same artists/albums when thats really only like 10% of whats out there. (Of course its just a coincidence that they happen to be the same albums/artists constantly pushed on us by the music media and sellers...of course!)

Kevin Martin's list is nice.
