No love for Blunt Talk? I love when a dramatic actor does comedy, and Shakesperian trained Brits can do it all. Hoping Ian McKellen shows up, I would lose my shit.

I've actually heard great things about Blunt Talk. Been meaning to check it but it doesn't pop up in the EZTV new addition feed so I keep forgetting.

Just started watching Sense8. Intriguing so far. 1 episode deep not enough to assess plot quality but Wachowski stylishness is there in full force.

Season 3 of Fringe and the JJ Abrams is starting to show. I guess his stuff is a guilty pleasure for me, it pushes my buttons. But I'm kind of out of the honeymoon phase with this series and some cool shit needs to happen.

If I could figure out how to watch Mr. Robot I'd probably switch to that.

I really enjoyed Silicon Valley. I like Mike Judge in general though. I like to watch it and imagine that's what it really is like down there. As far as shows about computers go, though, I liked Halt and Catch Fire a lot more.

Couple people told me to watch "Narcos" but I am really not into watching multiple shows at once. Although following multiple plots can give you a sometimes nice sort of cubist perspective.

Looking forward to more Better Call Saul and Z Nation...

Looks like I'll be tuning into The Bastard Executioner on F/X. Premieres this upcoming Tuesday. Sounds like a violent good time from some reviews.

Thanks user487363530. And user4873635301. Now 48736353001.

Just finished the 6th episode of Sense8. It's really, really good. It's got the best of Wachowski style & philosophies and the production quality is stellar. Plot is engaging, all the characters are believable & well acted. Highly recommended!

Finished sense8. It kept getting better for the second half of the season. Excellent show. Recommendation still stands.

i'm about to watch the last episode of narcos and join that elite group of humans that can say, they have watched one of the best shows on television lately.

how much CIA drug running stuff is there in narcos? its fun that finally the idea that CIA trafficked cocaine on a mass scale is no longer some bat shit conspiracy theory but now mainstream accepted truth. Kill the Messenger movie probably opened the door a bit.

not much, they may have hinted at something wrt Noreaga, but I think it was only that they let him do his thing as long as he was fighting commies rather actually helping with the trafficking (can't remember exactly). one of the narcos in it was an ex-CIA agent though.

Did anyone get to see the Walt Disney documentary on PBS this week? I missed it, but as a native Floridian I find it fascinating to analyze the man's life as a whole, not the whitewashed bullshit of that Mary Poppins biopic with Tom Hanks. This addresses his anti-Semitism, his irrational fears of communism (and subsequent cooperation with the McCarthy Hearings), his brutal work ethics that turned his whole animation department on strike against him. I'm wondering if they address his hardcore addiction to cigarettes that killed him, or his invitation to have Nazi filmmakers visit his backlot in the 1930s, his vast vision for the EPCOT project? (which is a separate film in itself worth watching he sent to the Florida Governor's office for consideration) He used multiple dummy corporations to purchase up all the land in the Orlando/Kissimmee area for dirt cheap, and gained almost God-like autonomy over the region, in some peoples' opinion, ruining the water table as a result. I can't find it online yet, but hopefully it will appear soon.

That looks pretty interesting. Thanks for the tip, Mr. Farr

Will start in on "the knick" tonight. Will it hold up to Mr. Robot?

yeah, i watched about 20-30 minutes of that last night. walt comes off as paranoid about communist, but at the same time he uses the hysteria to his advantage by accusing more successful animators as being reds. real dickhead. i re-watched fantasia recently, but forgot how good the animation was on the other original disney movies. bambi and pinocchio look especially awesome.

edit:just finished i claudius. going to start mr. robot tonight.

some of the most successful capitalists of their time took advantage of the same climate that Walt did, anyone involved in any major industry who wasn't fully blown patriotic flag waving could be easily labeled as being sympathetic to communism or being an actual communist.
