Started watching new Peep Show season. Its OK. Still reckon its gone down since season 7. Season 1-7 probs my fav comedy tv series of all time til death

Staying at a friend's place and they watched 4 episodes of some shitty Marvel show that's apparently on Netflix. Do people watch Marvel shit just because it's Marvel?

the new jessica jones one? watched the first episode yesterday, thought it was utter shit.

daredevil was pretty good though.

I think so, the one with the chick from Breaking Bad? Yeah it was terrible. I got like one laugh out of it and I think it was a dick joke. I think my friends watch this shit just because it's new.

The Man in the High Castle s01e02 was mint, Rufus Sewell cappin' a few merkin patriots, not quite as linear as the book's structuring but so far so good

Better than the pilot? I wasn't a huge fan of the pilot.

Started watching Bloodline - first three episodes, then realized that it's essentially a soap opera where they can swear and show people kind of fucking. Boring as shit, cannot understand comparisons to Breaking Bad or True Detective.

things are starting to heat up, plot-wise, Rufus Sewell is the best thing about it so far, he does that ruthless, calm, calculating, black-caped Reich disciple brilliantly although all the episodes are online now. The pilot had that awful frame-rate buffle that meant it kept ticking, plus it didnt really offer a lot other than a prologue. Visually its a lot more sumptuous, the details are starting to flesh out, but it differs a LOT from the structure of the novel. Hopefully Robert Childan and his angst are going to make an appearance soon, cos it was his intro in the book that 1st drew me into the world of PKD. W/out him i'd be completely gutted.

ps: imdb seems to confirm no Robert Childan,,,,,,, which means no "Childan racked his brains." Aggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhh

London Spy is pretty good for the BBC, all sorts of faces are making an appearance now and its getting more sinister by the episode. Jim Broadbent is a national treasure.

Hmmm I'm 50/50 on whether to continue. I'm not sure if I can take another PKD novel ruined by hack screenwriters. But interested to see how they flesh out the world.

Also heard London Spy was really good from a coworker, who has reasonable taste.

ive actually been really enjoying the leftovers. im enjoying the fact that it is actually delving into confirmation of the supernatural a bit. the last episode was good fun.

Fargo - Pretty badass episode. Great metaphorical themes last night. Loved the whole sequence with Betsy coming home to an empty house. Major foreboding. She then discovers the alien print outs plastered all over the study. Such strange, such love. I understand why people binge watch now, can't wait for next week...

FUCKING LOVE THE LEFTOVERS!!

"Whoa! Check it out! RO-BIGH-DUHS!"

sigh.. "That's Ribena.."

love the theme tune on the new season. acting is good. story is nonsense though.

last episode was quite cool though, surreal, reminded me of flann o'brien.

you're wrong

"Whoa! Check it out! RO-BIGH-DUHS!"

it's ok to retain an air of mystery about something, but I don't get the impression that it's quite that deliberate when it comes to Lindelof, mostly I don't think he really knows what he's writing about to begin with, making it up as he goes along.

based on a book though innit, so I think it's going somewhere - doesn't seem at all incoherent to me so far, I don't like that kind of thing

only season 1 was based on a book, and it ended without it going anywhere also, so I don't think the author knew what it was about either. the point of the whole thing is more about the characterisations and so on, so I don't think it actually needs a destination necessarily. I don't think plotting is Lindelof's strong suit, which was a problem with Lost, but maybe not so much here.

Jessica Jones is pretty bad so far... agonisingly slow yet with no real tension at all. I'm hoping the ideas become more interesting but right now Jessica's powers exist as plot convinience and Kilgrave's creativity goes about as far as making someone murder or kill themselves. Does it get any better or more interesting?

I also tried the first episode of London Spy but it was fucking glacial with pace.

Stoked to watch OA II. The movement thing never bothered me, anyone familiar with Druidic studies will recognize the importance of movement to get to higher planes.

Being in the Middle East sux for TV, I have to rely on fucking OSN. Hopefully get my Apple TV hooked up by Friday, our turkey day.
