Looks tolerable? I've pretty much given up hope on new sci fi tv series, although the Mandalorian was the best thing since forever.

Some songs I made with my fingers and electronics. In the process of making some more. Hopefully.

Watchmen, What We Do In The Shadows, The Midnight Gospel, Killing Eve, Star Wars Rebels. Watched these during quarantine and on.

The expanse, try it, at first it feels horrible but it ends up being pretty addictive...

Seen it! It's good, but last season was a bit eh... off?

Tales from the loop had potential, but damn that was some tedious twillight zone-light stuff. Looked great though.

Currently giving Penny Dreadful a go while working,  because I should like this sort of thing, but it's kind of shite. Pompous soap opera, with some gothic horror lumped in for good measure.

Oh yeah, watched Dimension 404, really bad Black Mirror wannabe, also some Weird City, which is really uneven, but some of it is tolerable, goofy Black Window "comedy" series I guess? Don't even get me started on the new Amazing Stories, how can it turn out so bad?

Got old outer limits and amazing stories lined up in my home office work and watch queue, because this newish stuff just isn't worth it.

yeah tales from the loop was too sappy... what a waste of tasty vfx and set design...

have you watched any of these? i did back then but quit after some episodes cause there was way more cool things to watch and there wasn't so much free time but i'm thinking of watching them proper now...

I gave up on sense8 pretty quickly, wasn't really feeling it. 3% I don't think I've ever heard of, but the staggering amount of barely watchable trash on Netflix has turned me off watching anything that looks less than stellar.

I have started watching Dark, seems very decent.

starts really fucking great but by the second season it turns itself into a major shitstorm...... what'cha think about those montages with corny songs in the end of each episode? lol

Binged the first 2 seasons of Haikyuu!! on Netflix, then 3rd season and first half of season 4 on Crunchyroll.  It's anime about a hs volleyball team. And I am eagerly anticipating the rest of season 4 that's due in July.  Shoyo Hinata is my spirit animal.

is this a fictional doc?

it's a reboot of a docuseries of unsolved crimes, events or strange and explained phenomena/history that was the cornerstone of late 80s-early 90s american television. above reboot looks like it's more concerned with current unsolved crimes and/or events

Jesus, did anyone do "I Know This Much is True" on HBO? Mark Ruffalo does double duty as a twin set. It starts off very good, which hooked me in. Holy fuck I wound up laughing by the end because I've never seen something be so unrelenting in its misery. It verges on satire with how hard it goes. That said--Mark killed it, the direction was great and I fully predict Emmy nods coming his way.

I've seen the first two episodes, which were excellent.

I'm watching the newest season of Billions. It's very dumb and I might hate it.

I watched the first two episodes of the latest season and I want to erase them from my memory. It feels like they changed writers, and decided to make all the characters as completely irredeemable assholes.

The missus got a Netflix account, and she’s never seen Stranger Things so we’re watching that. It’s just as good on the rewatch so far.

I was just about to post in here— I just watched all three seasons over again in succession.  I remember hating Season 2, but on the re-watch it wasn’t bad at all.  Just as great as 1 and 3.   Great show with a lot of suspense along with nasty and freaky / horror shit going on.  Also just enough comic relief that really makes you love the characters.  A+ in my book.

Did you guys never see any 80s films or was this all new to you?

"They're about guns, lasers, robots with laser guns in space. Monsters from the future. Explosions. Sylvester Stallone doing a backflip on top of a spike while Robocop carries a ghost up a mountain. Bombs and swords and that... IDM is awesome."

I was born in 74 so I saw lots of 80s films. What’s your point?
