yeah, E.T., Stand by me, The Gate, the monster Squad*, Goonies*, Gremlins, Poltergeist, night of the creeps*, night of the comet*, the explorers*, maybe Fright night and the breakfast club. Just throw return of the living dead and an american werewolf in london in there for good measure because they're awesome, but not really related, you need some fun stuff in the mix.

I marked the shite but charming ones with a star. I'm sure I missed a lot of stuff, but that's what popped out the top of my head.

overall i liked it, it's chill, at least in s01, where instead of a show about catching serial killers it was mostly about studying them... the fast dialogue between the main leads was a bit cringe worthy at first but it ended up adding some quirkiness to the show which was a good thing...

i felt that s02 kinda lost its charm cause they started actually chasing bad guys... and that end, i dunno, felt rushed and incomplete?

I'm watching Lovecraft Country and I like black people they're so nice oh wow but what is this and why

kind of enjoying this. there is a lot of fluff and animation that tend to be distracting, and the information is gleamed over pretty quickly, but nice to hear from some people i never knew about

Yeah, just started this too, first episode was v. nice. I could watch old arcade/vintage video game docus for days. Good stuff.

The opening to Thundercats was so much cooler than the actual show.

Netflix's Immigration Nation. I knew about a lot of the things in the series, but FFS.

Finished Years & Years. Don’t believe the hype. It’s a train wreck and an embarrassment to the people who made it. It’s like the worst of the Guardian op ed pages had a love baby with a bucket of stereotypes and the result was cut into pieces and randomly spewed out over a series of East Enders episodes.

Truly mindboggingly awful.

I mostly have no idea what the hell is going on in episode 2 of lovecraft country, but damn if that wasn't some enjoyable tv.
