Nothing. Even my very favorite albums I have to spend time away from or they get tiresome. In fact the more I love an album the more I have to discipline myself not to listen to it all the time.......

Like for example autechre is my fav band but right now I have none of their stuff on my iPod

I am EXACTLY the same.Currently I do not have any Aphex on my ipod apart from a handful of Analords (I recently wiped the RDJ album as its a summer album for me) I only have the ABPOITC by BOC, gonna wipe this soon and stick on The Campfire Headphase. I have no Ae studio albums or eps but quite a few live recordings. I have a small memory mp3 player so things never get stale and I am always changing what albums I carry. I did a phase of only having difficult albums I needed to listen to more and get into more. Like you Joseph I discipline myself from listening too much from music I love, so it stays fresh in my mind.

Tbh a lot of Aphex/BoC/Autechre requires home listening on decent soundsystem with little distractions. The amount of times I have got settled or in the right frame of mind to listen to Geogaddi and 15 minutes later some buffoon is tapping me on the shoulder going 'Oi !!! Oi !! Oi !!!!', and I am like under my breathe 'Why don't you Fffffuuuuuuck OFF mate!!' which is no good is it? So I put these albums on my player if I am going for a long cycle or train journey.

The Fiery Furnaces Gallowsbird's Bark, EP, Bitter Tea, Blueberry Boat, and Widow City

Boards of Canada's Campfire Headphase & Hi Scores

Aphex Twin's Richard D. James & Melodies From Mars

Matthew Friedberger's Winter Women & Holy Ghost Language School

The Avalanches Since I Left You

Franz Ferdinand's You Could Have it so much Better

Clara Rockmore's The Art of Theremin

Merzbow's Merzbeat

Edit: Gorillaz' D-Sides CD 1

Although I don't have any Clara Rockmore in my car. There's probably some others, but I always want these.
