To be honest: After reading the interview and listening to "The Hope" I was hoping for this album being even more commercialised than it is. After a first listen, I don't like "Personality", I only like some tracks, but not in a very strong way. The best track by far is "The Hope" for me, because there Scuba's commercialism really works out and makes fun. Most of the other tracks are inbetween being old Scuba and a new, more approachable and dancy one and in my ears it sounds very dull and uninteresting. So: I expected a smash in the face from Scuba and I didn't get neither one thing nor another.

This is for sure going to be a huge huge huge Summer favorite of mine basking in the California sun, WHAT WHAT (esp. tracks like "July" and "NE1BUTU")

God damn, I'm just gonna put this in my top list for 2012. Listening and 3/4 through and it's just captivating my inner groove man, nah mean?

Oh and by the way, it's not dark like Triangulation, it's upbeat and can be club material but it's better than Adrenalin IMO.

tulips reminds me of afx and bochum welt, except 4 the vocal sample

i dont really like the first 2 tracks but im feeling pretty much everything else on the album

Got my cd (yep, I still buy them) through from Bleep. Giving this a blast on The System right now.

Sounds real, real good.

Finally got this and enjoying more that I thought I would, even the hope has grown on me tho that vocal still grates! But yeah its a wicked good fun dance record, sounded ace blasting it out in the car.

yeah, the album intro and the vocals and lyrics on hope are embarrassing, but overall it's a nice album. I still wish there were more tracks like ne1butu on it, more chicagoey stuff.

haven't gotten into the album yet but 'the hope' is my track of the year so far

why are the lyrics and vocals embarrassing? with "the hope", scuba pretty much nailed it.

the more i listen to this the crazier it gets. friday party at berghain with scuba playing solo and in the morning back to back with another guy. boddika is there as well. hopefully he will play all the bangers from this LP.

yeah if these vocals are embarrassing then you probably listen too much IDMs

come on. these lyrics really catch the feeling of going out clubbing. in quite a bitter way. "got the system got the system". just using the same word at the beginning of the setence doesn't make it kanye, right?

The lyrics remind me of Freeland's We Want Your Soul when written out like that.

Its not really the lyrics on The Hope that bother me tho they are a bit daft, its more the sound of the guys voice that annoys me. But anyhow am loving the album, had it on in the car since the weekend is quality driving music.

yeah, why not use your natural tone of voice and make it more personal? unless the vocals and lyrics are supposed to be sarcastic, which may be the case. I much prefer the more optimistic sounding tracks such as ne1butu.
