I definitely like this release better than Cubist Reggae. Sound's like his softer side on this one?

that was such a wild album.

Not saying I didn't find it very original and "wild". Just saying I enjoy this type of vsnares release a tad more.

I wish I could throw some (more) cash at his face but....I'm a broke ass

He did say he had been sitting on these and listening to them for awhile. He didn't say when they were made or that he made them recently at all, just that he liked them.

Pretty good imo.

It reminds me a lot of The Tuss.

So much so its beginning to make me think he either directly sampled from it, or that maybe The Tuss is a V Snares/Aphex collabo project :O

snares can do the tuss pretty well when he does not rush it and cares about it. I like snares I just hate him for rushing 1000 half-assed releases during the last years instead of developing further. and by developing I mean to take where he is and make it more emotional instead of switching to another style where he delivers the same quality. he should just care more about details like what instruments he uses what textures these have and how deeply the melodies affect the listener instead of mass production. If he cares he can do it. its like he is too unfocused to sit on a track for a longer time than usual

I like almost all his releases. I think he works well on all of them but yeah I agree, he has a huge talent and capacity so if he took more time on each project maybe it would be even better, but Im not sure, I mean, it depends of his work method.

again, i don't really hate skrillex as much as i hate the people that think that sort of music has any sort of integrity. i try to be open minded, and a lot of the time i employ a "well, each to his/her own" attitude towards personal preferences such as music taste and who knows, maybe it is original in its own way, sorta like a drawing by an autistic kid.

I wish he did more tracks like Flashforward, die die die winnipeg die and epidermis. Those are really fuckin hardcore and impressive pieces of work.

Chordate FTW! You can critisize his albums if you wish, but I think they are all brilliant. His music always sounds new and fresh. I'm glad the latest albums have a similar sound. I like "his sound". I hate when artists change their sound with every release (Telefon Tel Aviv, Portishead 3, ect). Snares is always crisp, glitchy, and dark. I'm glad he actually RELEASES his music. Other artists seem to have a hard time with that...

I support your support of Aaron, but lol Portishead's Third came out 11 years after their previous album. It's, like, totally inapposite maaan.

True, but it sucked cause they were "looking for a new sound". They found it. Sux. You know what I'm saying...

Yeah. My thoughts upon hearing the first track. Perhaps less so on the rest of the EP though. But there's Tussy spunk all over that first track.
